March Progress at the GND REC
Progress continues!
March was a very busy month at the GND REC! We have been very busy remodeling “The Shack”.
Tile has been installed in the concession area and restrooms. Vinyl flooring has been installed in the office. Materials and labor have been donated by Johnson Carpet One. Great work by Daryl.

Cabinets have been installed in the concession area by Kevin Vegar Construction. The cabinets came from the home economics room in old Central High School.

Kevin also installed interior window trim around the new windows we have installed. All was done free of charge.

Master Plumber, Bill Glowaki, has the restrooms looking great and functioning! Thank you Bill!

Our electricians, Jim Petrich and Jim Morris, have completed the installation of nine new LED lights and two ceiling fans in the main area of the GND REC. Great job! The lights were provided by the City. What a difference!
Volunteers have installed three, custom made door frames for the restrooms and office. The frames were provided by Sell Hardware. Doors from Central High School will be hung.
Engineering drawings for the new parking lots and upgrading 101st Ave West have been completed and provided to City engineering for review.
Remember the murals on the walls of the “shack”? Thanks to Mike Anderson we still have them.

As you can see, March has been a very busy month! We have accomplished so much, and could not have done so without the support of some amazing people. With all that has been done, there is so much more to do, and we cannot do so without your continued support!
